Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Urology Diagnostic and Treatment Centre for an Assistant Booking Co-ordinator to support Bodmin Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC).

The successful candidate must have a flexible approach, possess excellent communication skills, must be reliable, well organised and able to work as part of a team or independently. There is also the opportunity for career progression within this role.

Flexible working across both Bodmin CDC for 2 days (Tuesday and Thursday) and Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro, for 1 day per week (Monday or Friday).

Part time - 27 hours per week (9 hours a day / 3 days a week).

This role has been approved for advertising; however, it is also being assessed as a suitable alternative employment opportunity. As a result, the vacancy may be withdrawn or there may be a delay before shortlisting can begin.

This role is open to all applicants. However, in line with Cornwall First recruitment principles, initial shortlisting will prioritise applicants from Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and the Integrated Care Board for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Main duties of the job

Duties will include but not limited to: booking of appointments, managing waiting lists, updating pathway comments and managing patient RTT pathways in Radar and the Somerset Cancer Register, answering the telephone, preparation of clinic notes including E-notes, outcoming clinics and admitting and discharging patients on BEA.
