Undergraduate Assessments Coordinator – Undergraduate Medical Education Location: Education and Research Centre, Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised Undergraduate Coordinator to join our experienced team within the Undergraduate Medical Education Department at Wythenshawe Hospital.

This pivotal role focuses on supporting the delivery of Clinical Competency Assessments (CCA) for medical students in Years 3–5. Key responsibilities include coordinating the recruitment of examiners and simulated patients and ensuring the smooth planning and execution of assessments.

Our department supports the medical education of over 400 students across South Manchester and affiliated teaching hospitals. The role involves regular collaboration with tutors and administrative staff at partner hospitals, as well as close communication with the wider Assessment Team across the Manchester sector and the University of Manchester Medical School.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a crucial role in the delivery of a high-quality medical education programme. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and manage effective systems for monitoring and reporting.

Main duties of the job

JOB PURPOSE

The post holder will assist the Assessments Manager to co-ordinate the planning, organisation, and delivery of all Undergraduate Clinical Competency Assessments (CCA) held at MFT Wythenshawe site for over 400 medical students for years 3,4 and 5.  To undertake any other duties deemed appropriate to the band when requested by Senior Staff.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

The post holder reports on a regular basis to the Assessments Manager who is responsible for overall management of the undergraduate assessment function. However, the post holder has individual responsibility for the administrative functions within the assessment processes. The post holder will also have duties and responsibilities for other areas of work within the department, which are in line with the general duties of the post.
