What You’ll Do
- Support the implementation and maintenance of our Quality Management System (QMS)
- Perform QA checks on batch documentation and environmental monitoring data
- Assist with deviation investigations, audits, and regulatory inspections (e.g. MHRA)
- Contribute to training and compliance monitoring for aseptic and radiopharmacy staff
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective service delivery

- Contribute to internal audits and preparation for external inspections (e.g. MHRA)
- Maintain training records, SOP registers, and QA documentation
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to support safe and compliant service delivery
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will support the Quality Assurance (QA) activities within the Pharmacy Aseptic Unit and Radiopharmacy at Royal United Hospitals Bath. The role ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), national regulatory standards, and Trust policies. Working closely with the QA Lead and operational managers, the post holder contributes to safe, effective and compliant preparation and delivery of aseptic and radiopharmaceutical products to patients.
- Assist with the implementation, maintenance and monitoring of the Pharmacy Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with MHRA guidelines and NHS QA standards.
- Perform QA checks on completed batch documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GMP and local procedures.
- Support deviation, incident and non-conformance reporting; assist with investigations and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Contribute to risk assessments and support compliance with Trust governance frameworks.
