The North Midlands and Black Country Procurement Group (NMBC) is comprised of The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM), The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust (RWT), Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust (WHT), The Black Country Pathology Services (BCPS), North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust (NSCHT), Black Country Healthcare Foundation Trust (BCHFT), Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) and Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU).
The NMBC is responsible for all aspects of Procurement, Supply Chain and wider Commercial support to the aforementioned organisations covering a range of Acute, Mental Health, Community, Pathology Networks, GP Practices and Commissioning Support Units across the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, Black Country, Shropshire and South Cheshire Integrated Care System (ICS’s). With almost 200 staff, 55,000 customers and managing a total non pay spend portfolio of over £1.2b per annum the NMBC is one of the largest and influential Group Procurement Organisations (GPO’s) in the NHS.
This post sits in the Operations Team and is based at UHNM, Royal Stoke Hospital site, reporting to the Warehouse and Distribution Manager.
The Role supports the receipting of deliveries, picking of consumables, distribution of goods to Wards and Departments and putting away of stock at ward level.
Receipting, tracking and recording of deliveries and producing electronic goods receipt notes.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure records are filed in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Picking of locally stocked products and packing safely and securely within delivery cages.
Putting away of stocked products utilising safe manual handling techniques and equipment.
Preparing and organising stock for distribution to Wards and Departments.
The putting away of various products within a clinical ward area and within the Supplies & Procurement Warehouse.
