Job summary

Main duties of the job

Commit to self-directed study and successfully complete the programme within the contract period.Deliver high quality, compassionate care under the supervision of a Registered PractitionerSuccessfully complete and pass the academic and practice elements of the programme as specified by TRFT, the HEI and Institute of Apprenticeship standards. You will be required to complete theory and practice as off the job training. You will also be required to complete a portfolio, demonstrating learning and skills and end point assessments.

Successfully complete competencies related to HCPC standards as specified by the Trust and the UniversityWork as part of a team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the patient as a rostered member of staff as on the job training, during employment days. Whilst practicing as a student ODP apprentice you will be in a supernumerary capacity within Main Theatres, Day Surgery Unit, Recovery, Resus, Obstetrics and ICU.Work with Practice Supervisors/Assessors as per local policy. Taking responsibility for developing your own ODP competence while on placements and attending academic study

Adhere to the policies and procedures required as an employee of TRFTWork within the competency boundaries as set at each stage of the programme

Demonstrate a flexible, dynamic attitude and professional behaviours, both to your paid work, practice placement and academic studies, in line with TRFT values
