If so, you could start off your career supporting the Mattishall Ward within the Diabetes & Endocrinology department, working whilst studying for an apprenticeship.
This exciting post will allow the successful candidate to gain experience and knowledge in a wide range of activities. The post holder will assist in the preparation of patients and equipment for treatment, investigations or procedures as directed by the RN, to welcome patients, visitors and relatives patients to the clinical area, providing assistance, support and information where required and to contribute to the reporting, handover and documentation of patient care under the direct supervision of a RN maintaining confidentiality at all times.
The post holder will be expected to contribute to the provision of the highest standards of patient care.

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, you work with all members of the Mattishall team, to contribute to the provision of the highest standards of patient care delivered with dignity, respect and compassion. Key tasks and responsibilities include:
You will undertake a Level 2 Healthcare Support Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard within a 14-month contract.

Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must be: • Aged 16+ • Resident in the UK/EEA for the last three consecutive years • Must not have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level or above • Must not be in any form of formal government-funded education upon the start of their apprenticeship
Qualifications and Skills Required: • Good general standard of education • 4 GCSE’s at Grade D/3 or above (or equivalent) • Good standard of literacy and numeracy • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Good IT skills
