As a Dental Nurse Practitioner Level 3 Apprentice Dental Nurse you will be working and training as part of the Dental Team within the Dental Hospital, Community Dental Clinics, and General Dental Practices. You will be expected to complete the Dental Nursing Practitioner Diploma Level 3 by July 2027.

The training includes both classroom based learning and practical clinical chairside experience, with approximately 20% of time spent in a classroom setting, starting 12 January 2026. Newcastle School of Dental Nursing is a long established training provider with a high achievement rate. Your training will be supported by our dedicated friendly, highly skilled and highly motivated team in a professional working and training environment. You will have access to a wide range of resources including IT and library facilities. As an Apprentice Dental Nurse we will work with you to develop your interpersonal skills so that you can provide friendly, calm and efficient support within the clinical team. We will help you to reach your full potential and achieve your future goals and aspirations. To be successful in this role you will need to be a highly motivated person who will commit to meeting agreed deadlines and targets. You must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, and in addition have basic computer skills. Entry requirements include a good standard of education, with a minimum of GCSE grade 4 or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
Registered Dental Nurses and Apprentices work closely assisting the dentist and supporting the patient to ensure the provision of high quality care. The training focuses on developing your skills, knowledge and behaviours to enable you to become an effective professional Registered Dental Nurse.
