Job overview

The Antenatal and Newborn Screening Coordinator is responsible for the operational leadership, coordination, and governance of all antenatal and newborn screening programmes within the Trust. The role ensures that screening pathways are delivered safely, effectively, and in compliance with national standards, supporting timely access, informed choice, and equitable care for women, birthing people, and babies.

The postholder provides specialist oversight of screening pathways, manages failsafe systems, assures data quality and performance monitoring, and leads responses to incidents, audits, and quality assurance processes. The role also holds responsibility for statutory reporting and liaison with external regulators and commissioners, alongside providing expert advice, education, and leadership to multidisciplinary teams.
