Due to maternity leave, we have a rare opportunity to work in a specialist role within Maternity and Women’s Services.
We are looking for an experienced clinical pharmacist with an independent prescribing qualification, and willing to prescribe in clinics and at ward level.
This post holder will play a key role in medicines management in the maternity and delivery units and implement opportunities for medicines optimisation for women and the neonates in the units. You will also gain experience in neonatology and paediatrics, working alongside our Advanced Pharmacist – Paediatrics.

Provide an expert level of clinical pharmacy services to Women’s services, including the maternity unit, delivery suite and neonates at The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust (DGH).
To work closely with the Advanced Specialist Pharmacist – Children’s and Neonates and provide cover in their absence, this includes paediatric inpatients, out-patients and neonates
Lead specialist clinical pharmacy practice for the directorate and be responsible for the delivery, development, review and co-ordination of clinical pharmacy services in line with standards defined by national priorities, divisional objectives and the DGH Pharmacy/Trust Strategy.
Be responsible for all aspects of medicines management to optimise patient’s care involving the use of medication and aid in the delivery of the directorate’s key performance indicators.
