Advanced Practitioner Reporting Radiographer

We are looking for a forward-thinking and enthusiastic  Reporting Radiographer who wants to join our friendly team and gain a wide range of experience.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Radiology department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust  for a Qualified Band 7 Plain Film Image Reporting Radiographer to work within the Sites of  South Tees Hospitals.  The department includes the provision of plain film x-ray,  dental (including cone beam CT) and theatre services as well as specialist modalities, including US, CT, MRI and fluoroscopy/interventional radiology.

The successful candidate will be a role model for demonstrating our Trust's values through their leadership attributes and be committed to providing high quality, patient focused patient care.

Although the successful candidate will be employed by South Tees NHS Trust, there will be an expectation of collaborative working across the Tees Valley in the future should the need be required. The successful candidate will join the Reporting Radiographer Plain Film roster at South Tees and work across all service sites. Successful candidates will be an employee of South Tees NHS Trust and managed as per the governance arrangements currently in place for Radiology and the organisation.

Main duties of the job

The Radiology service is dedicated in facilitating continuous professional development and role extension/advanced practice. There are more than 30 Advanced Practitioners within the service, with specialist experience in fluoroscopy/interventional radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI and plain film radiographer reporting.   South Tees Hospitals is the largest hospital trust in the Tees Valley with two acute hospitals and services in a number of community hospitals. The Trust is a designated regional Major trauma centre with a 24-hour acute admissions unit and specialised services in cancer, neurosciences, vascular surgery, spinal injuries, cardiology and renal medicine.
