Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) is looking for a proactive and passionate Advanced Pharmacy Technician – Dispensaries to Lead the delivery of dispensary services across both the City and Queens Medical Centre campuses.
You’ll play a key role in shaping how we deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred pharmacy services while helping drive quality improvements that impact thousands of patients.

Operational Expertise: Oversee day-to-day activities in our pharmacy stores, ensuring compliance with legislation and national standards.

A proven leader – confident in managing teams, line management responsibilities, and developing services.
Experienced in risk and performance management, audits, incident reporting, and ensuring compliance with medicines legislation.
A collaborative communicator who can influence, support and build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
A strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Organised, adaptable and proactive, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Principal Pharmacy Technician - Operational services:
Proactively lead, organise, manage and develop the dispensaries at NUH
Contribute to strategy and implement service improvements in safety and operational efficiency and effectiveness whilst maintaining compliance with legislation
Ensure all standard operating procedures and risk assessments reflect current practice, governance requirements and are implemented
To be a role model and develop and maintain working environments that encourage teamwork, mutual support and respect
To take part in the 7 day shifted rota and bank holiday duties
