Job summary

Main duties of the job

  • Undertake or develop competence in advanced practical procedures including intubation, long lines, UVC/UACs, lumbar puncture and cranial ultrasounds.
  • Support stabilisation and transfer of critically ill neonates to tertiary centres
  • Provide leadership, supervision and education to medical, nursing and AHP colleagues
  • Contribute to audit, research, quality improvement and guideline development
  • Champion family centred, compassionate care and clear communication with parents and carers

What We are Looking For

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Newly qualified or qualified Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
  • Independent Non Medical Prescriber
  • Significant neonatal nursing background with some experience in advanced clinical skills
  • Confidence working autonomously while valuing collaborative team practice
  • Commitment to education, service improvement and evidence based care
  • Ability to work flexibly across a full rota including nights and weekends

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is a large acute and specialised hospital trust that provides a range of local acute services to the residents of Worcestershire and more specialised services to a larger population in Herefordshire and beyond.
