Job Purpose:
- The Healthcare Assistant will contribute to the assessment, implementation, and delivery of high-quality patient care within the Specialist Continence team.
- Will demonstrate responsibility to patients, relatives, and colleagues through contribution to the development and monitoring of agreed evidence-based practice and to the health and social care programmes.
- To provide a comprehensive call answering and administration support service for the continence prescription service.
- To liaise with patients regarding their continence product needs, generate prescriptions, and provide correspondence to other health service professionals.
Main duties of the job
- Undertake agreed activities as delegated by a registered nurse, with patients / service users under the direct /In-direct supervision of the qualified staff.
- Display and maintain high levels of customer service at all times, ensuring all service users have a positive experience of the Continence Prescription Service.
- To respond to any requests for product information and samples, sending them out in a timely manner.
- Produce reports, letters and spreadsheets as appropriate in the agreed format and time.
- Ensure that access to files in the computer is password controlled to maintain security.
- Adhere to trust policy at all times.
