We have an opportunity for a clinical pharmacist with a passion for education and training to join our team as an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist and Teacher Practitioner.

You will also be providing a clinical pharmacy service at an advanced level to our medical patients providing excellent care in acute medicine.

LUHFT employs over 120 pharmacists across 3 sites providing clinical pharmacy services to all major specialties. This post is based on the Aintree site of the Trust.

We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and forward thinking clinical pharmacist to work as a team and help support our Education team and established medical team within the Aintree site.

We have a fully integrated electronic prescribing system along with unique in-house systems to help you deliver excellent clinical care to your patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and delivery of a high quality, proactive and patient focused clinical pharmacy service to the medical division and our undergraduate MPHARM programme at Liverpool John Moore's University.

Assist the Lead Clinical Pharmacist - Education and Training to provide high level teaching to our MPharm undergraduates.

The core part of the role is providing and co-ordinating pharmacy undergraduate clinical teaching working across the Trust and at Liverpool John Moores University. As well as the education commitment you will be able to maintain your clinical pharmacy skills and have care group responsibilities.

You will have opportunities for your own development and will be supported in your role by our Lead Pharmacist for Education.

Candidates must have excellent clinical pharmacy knowledge and be confident teaching.

To provide a safe and effective advanced clinical pharmacy service to our patients and staff within the  division of medicine.

Assist the Lead Divisional Pharmacist (Medicine) in providing clinical training and supervision, relevant to the  directorate working within medicine.

Provide non-medical prescribing services to our  medical patients.

Identify the clinical and economic impact of medicines use, develop and implement clinical guidelines, monitor drug expenditure and support the area to meet their clinical and financial targets.

Providing and co-ordinating pharmacy undergraduate clinical teaching working across the Trust and at Liverpool John Moore's University.

Develop our undergraduate MPharm students to become excellent clinical Pharmacists.

To provide an advanced clinical service within the division of medicine in accordance with professional, departmental and Trust policies.

Provide highly specialist pharmaceutical information to medical and nursing staff and patients within the Directorate and to General Practitioners and other staff within the Trust where appropriate.

To act as an independent prescriber in accordance with the Trust's Non-Medical Prescribers policies and guidelines (once registered as a non-medical prescriber)

Participate where applicable consultant ward rounds and multidisciplinary meetings relevant to the designated wards and or directorate,
