Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled HCPC registered Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our dynamic Blood Sciences Department. As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services within our Haematology team.
You must have a relevant IBMS Specialist diploma or equivalent qualifications or equivalent experience. Applications may be accepted from HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists who are currently progressing through the IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Haematology or Blood Science. Successful candidates that have not yet finished the portfolio will be paid on AfC Band 5 based on their experience at that grade, until completion and successful assessment and award of their qualification by the IBMS.
An on-site practical assessment will be required as part of the recruitment process and there is an expectation that the post holder will participate in the delivery of a 24/7 laboratory service.
