Our Plastic Surgery department is based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and is one of the largest and most highly respected units of its kind in the UK. The service is run by a multi-disciplinary team of experienced healthcare specialists, including nationally and internationally recognised experts in their fields and we combine medical expertise with an innovative approach to new technologies and clinical care.
Our admin teams are pivotal to the success of our services and the outstanding care we provide for our patients, providing support to our clinicians and the wider teams on a day to day basis. We are a supportive and friendly team who enjoy working together to ensure that our admin processes enhance patient care and are as efficient as possible.
NO AGENCIES PLEASE
Our Administration Team Leaders play a very important role in our services, which not only contributes to ensure a consistently high standard of patient care as a member of a multi-disciplinary team but also motivates staff to get the best out of our admin teams. As part of your role you would manage the day to day co-ordination of outpatient waiting lists and clinics, manage our outpatient reception and clerical staff, support the provision of an efficient administration and clerical service within outpatients and when required, deputise for the Outpatient and Administration Team Lead.
This post is being offered via internal secondment and is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is looking for a Team Leader role.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team who has leadership experience in a similar role as well as previous experience within outpatient departments, waiting list offices and knowledge of the PAS management system or equivalent. As part of your role you will be responsible for the day to day management of staff and therefore someone who enjoys leading, supporting and encouraging teams is essential.
Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first month’s pay.
As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.
