This Voluntary opportunity will enable you to be part of a busy, proactive and specialist team within RDaSH.
You will have the opportunity to develop communication skills, to be creative, to develop or use existing administrative skills and knowledge.
You will be required to take direction from colleagues and develop your learning in working within a large health organisation, which in turn will create ongoing opportunities for you.
Main duties of the job
The volunteer is required to work within the list of tasks identified as follows:
- Develop an understanding of the organisation to enable you to navigate services and teams.
- Responding to enquiries in a polite manner and ensuring an appropriate response is initiated.
- Using a number of specialist and common IT systems and in doing so undertake the appropriate training formally and through colleague’s support.
- Photocopying
- Filing/electronic filing
- Confidential shredding
- Ad-hoc administration duties required to support admin function and as directed by colleagues
- Collation of data as requested by colleagues and manager
- Collating and transcribing minutes/reports from various media
- Transcribing data to appropriate data systems
- Use of email system
