Job summary

Main duties of the job

  • You will provide strong operational leadership and oversight to the administration teams supporting the 0-19 Public Health Nursing Service.
  • You will be responsible for line managing administrators and advanced administrators across the 0-19 SPA, Infant Mental Health, and Clinical Triage team, ensuring consistent, high-quality administrative support is delivered across all areas.
  • Your role will involve managing the day-to-day administrative functions, developing and implementing efficient procedures and protocols to improve workflow, and ensuring the smooth running of all teams.
  • You will act as recruiting manager, leading the recruitment process, conducting inductions for new team members, and completing staff appraisals to support ongoing development.
  • Additionally, you will act as an authorised signatory, handling and investigating invoice discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Producing accurate, timely reports and analysing data to support service delivery will be essential.
  • You will investigate complaints or incidents via Datix and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
  • Organising meetings and taking minutes will also form part of your duties.
  • This role requires excellent leadership, strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • You will be line managed by the Administration Services Team Leader and play a key role in supporting the wider Childrens Business Unit when required
