Job summary
Main duties of the job
- Complete administration tasks
for nominated medic
- Demonstrate effective IT
skills to undertake a variety of administration tasks such as diary management,
coordination of meetings, initiating responses to routine correspondence,
gathering and presenting data.
- Demonstrate excellent
attention to detail.
- Prepare and distribute agendas
and take formal minutes.
- Deal with incoming and
outgoing mail, including e-mail.
- Use tact and discretion where
necessary and ensure confidentiality is maintained.
- Undertake small-scale project
work, as required.
- Use ESR to oversee the
effective running of the department.
- Lead, line-manage and
coordinate administration staff across the department, including carrying out
supervision and appraisals
- Act as a role model to
colleagues, always seeking to maintain the highest standards of
professionalism.
- Use your initiative and take
responsibility for yourself and the quality of your work and the service you
provide to patients, colleagues and stakeholders.
Job responsibilities
