Are you a passionate about working with people and looking for a new and exciting challenge to develop your skills within an inpatient mental health care setting?

We are seeking creative and dynamic individuals to work collaboratively with service users and staff within our occupational therapy team structure, and integrating well into the multidisciplinary team on the wards.  You will assist in the delivery of meaningful activity on the ward and within the local community, supporting recovery and transition from hospital to home.  You will work collaboratively with the wider multi-disciplinary teams both on the ward and in the community.  In addition, you will have opportunity to be involved in service development within the relevant area.

The vacancies will be based on our acute mental health wards based at both at Airedale Centre For Mental Health and Lynfield Mount Hospitals on the acute psychiatric wards, caring for males and females aged 18-65 who are experiencing acute mental illness.

Main duties of the job

The provision will incorporate a 7-day service with shift working to enhance the therapeutic offer for service users, and will include a combination of the following hours:

  • Early Shift- 07:30 – 15:30
  • Mid Shift- 09:00 – 17:00
  • Late Shift- 12:00 – 20:00

Long days of 12 hours can also be considered
