This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprentices who are currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3, apprentices should note that the salary would be Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (75% max of band) until they have completed their apprenticeship.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join our Clinical Application Management Team.

The post holder will work within the Clinical Application Support team to provide effective administrative, service desk 1st line support and issue resolution support. This includes solving access issues for clinical staff, setting up accounts for clinical systems, providing basic Registration Authority support, and providing administrative support to the department.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for providing 1st line support on the Clinical Applications Service Desk. The role is required to keep an accurate and up-to-date record of all jobs on the Trusts and systems providers service tool.

The post holder will work closely with end users to resolve or escalate system issues and requests by completing system checks, troubleshooting issues and providing advice on the Trusts core clinical systems. The role is required to follow department procedures to ensure issues are escalated to other levels of support when required as well as the ability to work on their own initiative to escalate system incidents.

The post requires a high degree of customer focus by providing verbal, written and face-to-face communication to end users on a daily basis. This includes providing support via drop-ins as well as completing department visits on regular walk rounds.

Other duties include creating and maintaining system user accounts and smartcards, providing administration duties to support existing and new clinical systems and complete ad-hoc tasks to support other members of the team when required in the completion of their role.
