The clinical duties of the post include the following: • Clinical care to patients on shop floor • Supervision of junior doctors, ACPs and ENPs • Supervision of the department which includes ensuring timely review of patients. • Respond to clinical governance issues • Non-clinical duties as determined by job plan There is a close working relationship between all levels of staff, from the Divisional Director and Acute floor management teams and this post provides a good opportunity to understand the managerial pressures around running a busy department
