- ·       To lead by example as an expert practitioner, providing professional, clinical, educational and organisational leadership to the multi-disciplinary team within area of responsibility.
- ·       To manage the inpatient ward ensuring patients receive safe and compassionate care and experience a great service.
- ·       To undertake continued responsibility for the management of the ward’s patient case load.
- ·       To facilitate the admission and discharge activity for patient pathways within the ward and participate in the organisations capacity management arrangements.
- ·       To participate in the night rota leading own ward/team and providing clinical advice/support to junior colleagues on other wards as required.
- ·       Be accountable for ensuring ward complies with CQC standards
- ·       The post holder will be responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the inpatient ward and the delivery of operational performance targets (finance, activity, workforce and quality/safety)
