Job summary
Job Summary To work as a member of the clinical ward team carrying out the cleaning and the movement of patients, specimens & goods/consumables/drugs between wards and departments. To provide a range of direct or indirect supervised non-clinical support to the professional teams within designated clinical areas. The role will be supportive in keeping the hospital environment, safe, clean and tidy. The provision of a high-quality support service, responding to patient bed discharge/equipment cleaning and or/ urgent patient equipment/specimen/blood transportation. The job holder will work within designated clinical areas providing support to the multi-disciplinary teams. Duties will include answering phones, cleaning equipment, setting up equipment under supervision, ordering maintaining stock levels and any other general clinical duties required. The job holder will meet, and greet patients, family or carers and provide family and carer support where asked to do so. The job holder will be a central point of communication between the department and medical physics to ensure equipment is returned, and repaired, and or serviced in a timely manner
