An exciting opportunity has arisen for an effective and organised administrator to join the team on the Brynheulog Ward, Newtown Hospital.

Work as a member of a team providing an efficient and comprehensive clerical support service for the Ward/unit thereby supporting the delivery of high-quality service to patients and staff within the Department.

### Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide a comprehensive clerical, administrative and secretarial service to the Unit and will be responsible for a variety of front of house activities and being a first point of contact for the service. In addition to this the post holder will be required to demonstrate appropriate computer literacy and data management skills.

The post holder will need to have a high level of personal and professional organisational skills, self-motivation and flexibility in approach and attitude. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing will be essential along with the ability to work in a collaborative manner with a wide variety of Health and Social Care Professionals, service users and partner organisations.

We would particularly welcome applications from Welsh speakers; but even if you don’t speak any Welsh, or want to develop your skills, don’t worry: the health board will support you with training.

### Qualifications & knowledge

- - NVQ 2 in Administration/NVQ 2 in Customer Service or equivalent experience

**Desirable**

- - Knowledge of patient administrative system (computerised); knowledge of hospital departments & clerical procedures
