The Ward Clerk on a Surgical Assessment Unit plays a vital administrative and coordination role, supporting the safe and efficient flow of patients through the unit. The post holder acts as the central point of contact for patients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary clinical team, ensuring accurate documentation, effective communication, and smooth day-to-day ward operations.

Working in a fast-paced acute environment, the Ward Clerk helps maintain patient records, manages admissions and discharges, coordinates investigations and appointments, and supports clinical staff by handling non-clinical tasks. The role is essential in ensuring high standards of patient care, confidentiality, and organisational efficiency.  *Please note this vacancy may close early once sufficient applications have been received*

- Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges on electronic systems
