### Job summary

Urgent Care CSU have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who enjoys the challenge of working in an environment where no two days are the same and who can provide administrative support across the Urgent Care departments and wards. The role is 37.5 hours a week, over a 7-day period, with the expectation to work both day, night and weekend shifts. The role is based at the Leeds General Infirmary, however, during periods of annual leave, sickness and peak times, you may be expected to work across the departments noted below across the Urgent Care CSU. Emergency Departments (Adults and Paediatrics) LEOU/JEOU EEMAC SDEC Acute Medicine wards

### Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will work as part of a team and be responsible for the provision of a high-quality administrative service to the unit The prime responsibilities of the post holder will be to assist the nursing and clinical teams of the department with a variety of administrative and clerical duties. Some of these will ensure the smooth and timely movement of patients through the department in accordance with the emergency care standard. It will also involve assisting the nurse in charge in a multitude of administrative tasks to ensure the continuous smooth running of the Urgent Care departments/wards. A good standard of general education, previous clerical experience and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. Previous hospital or experience of working within multi disciplinary teams would be an obvious advantage.
