An exciting opportunity to join the Volunteering Services Team, providing administrative and coordination support across all aspects of the volunteering programme. The postholder will deliver excellent customer service to volunteers, members of the public, and Trust staff, in line with team and Trust values.

The role plays a key part in supporting volunteers throughout the NHS recruitment process, helping them become skilled, confident volunteers who are successfully matched to rewarding placements across the Trust. Working closely with colleagues, the postholder will contribute to the delivery of key stages of the volunteer journey, including recruitment, onboarding, induction, engagement, and retention.

This is a varied role that combines administrative responsibilities with volunteer coordination activities, making it integral to the success of the Volunteering Services Team. The postholder will help foster positive volunteer experiences, support volunteer engagement, and contribute to raising the profile of volunteering both internally and externally.

### Main duties of the job

To work as part of the Volunteering Services Team, providing administrative and coordination support to the Deputy Head of Volunteering across all aspects of volunteer recruitment, assessment, induction, onboarding, and specialist training for both new and established volunteers across the Trust.

The postholder will support and guide prospective volunteers throughout their volunteering journey, using the TRAC recruitment system to manage applications, assessments, recruitment checks, induction, and specialist training requirements, enabling volunteers to become fully qualified KRFT volunteers.

On a day to day basis, the role involves communicating with, motivating, and supporting volunteers to complete each stage of the recruitment process. The postholder will use the TRAC recruitment system to progress volunteers through their recruitment journey and provide information, guidance, and practical support to ensure completion of mandatory and role specific training requirements.

The role will also include maintaining accurate records and administering data relating to volunteer recruitment, vacancy management, training, induction, and compliance requirements.

In addition, the postholder will contribute to the development and retention of volunteers by providing buddying, mentoring, and ongoing support to newly recruited volunteers, helping them build confidence, develop the skills required for their role, and integrate successfully into their volunteering placement.

This is a part time position working as part of a job-share arrangement.

**Essential**

- Understanding of Data Protection & Confidentiality as it applies to volunteering activity.
- Applied knowledge of volunteering reward and retention and techniques to provide a rewarding experience of volunteering

**Desirable**

- Understanding of the volunteering environment and legislation relevant to volunteering in hospitals

### Experience

**Essential**

- Significant experience of working with volunteers in charities and/or public services.
- Proven experience of retaining volunteers in a challenging or demanding role, e.g. health or social care
- Setting and/or implementing customer service standards in a public or community facing role.
