We are looking for a vaccine nurse to join our antenatal clinic team. You will be part of a team of three, responsible for delivering the vaccination programme to the women and birthing people that access our service.

### Main duties of the job

- Carry out planned vaccinations for a group of patients without direct supervision
- Ensure the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence based individualised patient care
- Assist and advice staff, both registered and unregistered, in the delivery of patient care and vaccinations
- Maintain accurate clinical records of the patient and plan vaccinations accordingly
- Undertake procedures in line with national protocols
- Have responsibility for the correct administration and custody of medicines according to Trust policy
- Monitor patients’ progress, work towards safe and timely administration of vaccinations and ensure barriers are identified and acted on appropriately
- Act as the patient’s advocate
- Ensuring pregnant women/people and newborn babies with incomplete/unclear immunisation schedules are fully supported to receive appropriate vaccinations
- Ability to demonstrate an awareness of public health concerns, i.e. Domestic violence, child abuse, etc. and make appropriate referrals
