### Job overview

This  is an important role in the Trust as the person will be responsible for leading the flu vaccination campaign across the Trust. They will be responsible for ensuring all peer vaccinators are competent and have all had the correct training. They will be responsible for ensuring vaccination records are kept up to date on both RAVS as well as v-track at all times. They will need to be enthusiastic about the role and are able to have difficult conversations with staff about vaccinations and the need to be vaccinated to keep their colleagues and our patients safe during the winter season.

### Main duties of the job

The main duties of the job are:

- deliver flu vaccinations across the trust and do so flexibly to ensure all staff have access
- to lead on the vaccination campaign across the trust
- to ensure all staff information is up to date by working with the informatics team and using both v-track and ravs to track vaccines
- to employ bank staff to cover any gaps in the rota
- to meet the requirements of NHS England  and improve the uptake of vaccinations across the trust by at least a further 5% on top of last year's uptake.
- to ensure all peer vaccinators have had the right training, have signed off competencies and compliant with the pgd
- ensure that vaccinators on long stay wards are signed off so that the trust can improve vaccination uptake within long stay elderly patients.
- to work with the vaccination lead for maternity
- to maintain the database.
- to direct any admin as required.
