Urology Outpatient Clinic Coordinator, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, Band 3, 15  hours per week.

We would welcome applicants to join and work with the Urology Service who are on a transformational journey and recently opened in 2025 their new Urology Investigation Unit at the Cumberland Infirmary. This post will be a job share with the current Outpatient Coordinator/Receptionist to provide first point of contact for patients attending the department.

### Main duties of the job

To work as a member of the urology service, job sharing with the current outpatient clinic coordinator/Receptionist ensuring  reception area is manned at all times.  The role involves welcoming patients, carers, relatives and visitors into the department by acting as the first point of contact for patients attending the Urology service.

The post holder will undertake timely validation of patients’ key demographics and information, accurately record the outcome of the appointment and make return appointments as directed by clinicians.

This role is vital to support patient safety.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- NVQ 3 or equivalent experience
- Customer service qualification or equivalent experience

**Desirable**

- Customer service level 2
- Patient Administration System Training Outpatient Booking Agree to work towards

### Other requirements

- Flexibility to work all the shifts and change role to cover all areas dependent on the needs of the department.
- Flexibility to work at other sites as required
