### Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity available for a permanent Urgent Care Practitioner to join our Urgent Care Team. You will be part of a forward thinking and dynamic directorate which may require cross site working to meet the needs of the service, i.e short notice sickness cover. This incorporates the Urgent Treatment Centres based at South Tees Hospital NHS Trust, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust and Redcar Urgent Treatment Centre, which forms part of the Tees Valley Alliance.

### Main duties of the job

For the right candidate a training role will be considered if they meet the following essential criteria Registered nurse/paramedic with the NMC/HCPC. Degree in Nursing or Registered Paramedic. Clinical Skills Adult or Paediatric and willing to work towards full clinical competency and Recognised Teaching qualification (Facilitation Learning in Clinical Practice or ENB 998).

### Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Advanced clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills Working across professional Boundaries
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex and highly sensitive information
- Ability to work in collaboration with other professionals /teams
- Time Management
- Good IT skills

### Experience

**Essential**

- Minor Injuries Experience
- Experience in ED, UTC OR GP practice
- Involvement with audit and implementation of change
- Clinically able to prioritise and delegate effectively whilst working within acute/stressful situations

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Registered nurse/paramedic with the NMC/HCPC.
- Degree in Nursing or Registered Paramedic
- Recognised Teaching qualification
- Clinical Skills Adult
- Clinical Skills Paediatric
- Non-medical Prescribing or willing to work towards.
