### Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Urgent Results and Booking Coordinator to join the Radiology Administrative team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for someone to join a dynamic, friendly, and welcoming department.

The successful candidate must be able to provide a comprehensive administrative service with regards to the communication of urgent results, working closely with the Consultant Radiologists and referrers within the hospital and primary care. In addition, the postholder will work with the cancer services team to ensure prioritisation of diagnostics for cancer patients and updating of relevant cancer services systems. The post holder should have excellent communication skills, and be able to use a wide range of IT systems to input and communicate sensitive patient information and time sensitive data.

It is vital that the successful candidate builds relationships with key people in the department and become a proactive member of the Radiology Admin Team.

### Main duties of the job

To facilitate the timely communication of urgent Imaging results to referrers, by using clear and effective communication and processes, to ensure patients pathways are not delayed and clinical decisions can be made regarding treatment.

The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring acknowledgement of results by referrers, establishing a tracking process for this and prompting referrers to acknowledge reports within particular timeframes.

This job requires Implementing new processes and policies within the Department to facilitate new standards of practice, in line with latest national guidance. The post holder will need to be adaptable to change and willing to suggest and implement ideas in conjunction with other colleagues in the Department.

### Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience or understanding of patient flow in a hospital setting
- Experience of administration services within the NHS
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Experience of managing change and working with new processes
- Experience of liaising with a variety of different teams within Healthcare

### Knowledge and Skills

**Essential**

- Excellent IT skills, including inputting and interrogating IT systems and excellent keyboard skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to remain calm working under pressure
- Understanding of Information Governance
- Problem solving skills and able to recommend appropriate actions

### Education, Qualifications and Training

**Essential**

- Previous experience working in an NHS setting
- Education to A level/NVQ3 level 3 or equivalent

**Desirable**

- Understanding of CRIS and other IT systems used at SFT
