We are seeking compassionate, motivated, and caring people who share our commitment to delivering high-quality urgent and emergency care across the East Midlands. Successful applicants will demonstrate the Trust values of Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Teamwork, and Contribution, alongside excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Essential to this role is a commitment to personal and professional development, a passion for helping others, and a dedication to delivering high-quality care to the patients and communities we serve.

To apply, you must:

- Hold 3x GCSEs (including Maths & English) at minimum Grade C/4, or equivalent.
- Hold a full UK manual driving licence.
- Have no more than 3 points on your driving licence for minor speeding offences only.
- Be aged 18 or above.

You will initially start on our Urgent Care Assistant training course which lasts a minimum of 5 weeks, before becoming a qualified Urgent Care Assistant. You must be able to commit to the whole training period.

Successful candidates will commence employment with the Trust on 19 October 2026.

As a UCA, you will be providing care, support and transportation to patients in a variety of community settings. No two days are the same; you may be helping a patient following a fall, supporting someone experiencing a healthcare crisis, or assisting with the assessment and treatment of patients with urgent care needs. This is a challenging yet highly rewarding role for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of others every day.

Urgent Care Assistants will also be eligible to apply for internal progression opportunities to work their way up through the Paramedic career path, initially with progression to Emergency Ambulance Associate, followed by Qualified Ambulance Technician and then onto the Technician to Paramedic Apprenticeship.

### Experience

- Experience of working in a customer care or patient care environment.

### Qualifications

- 3 GCSE’s (including Maths & English) at Grade C/4 and above or equivalent
- Full driving licence including Category A (old style licence) or Category B driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
