### Job overview

United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support doctor staffing at Lincoln County Hospital's A&E Department.  This vacancy is 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00.

### Main duties of the job

Working closely with the Business Unit Managers and the medical staffing team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the emergency department maintains safe levels of medical cover.

The ability to build relationships with senior clinicians and managers along with other teams within the service is essential. We are looking for someone proactive who is able to work with minimal supervision on a range of tasks. We are a fast paced service and the successful applicant will need to be comfortable working with multiple deadlines and changing priorities.

In addition to more general duties the role will include supporting the management and co-ordination of the A&E rotas for consultants, specialty doctors and junior doctors, logging medical leave and sickness, and arranging IT access and inductions for new starters, along with being a lead for the junior doctor rotation.

## Person Specification

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent.
- Level 3 NVQ Business Administration or equivalent.
- ECDL/Clait/IBT or equivalent

### Previous Experience

**Essential**

- Extensive experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Previous administration and organisational experience.
- Problem solving skills
- Good liaison and leadership skills and the ability to motivate others
- Ability to influence senior managers’ decision making
- Customer Service skills
- Extensive experience in managing rotas
- Ability to prioritise own workload
- Strong persuasion skills
- Previous rota coordination experience

**Desirable**

- NHS Experience
- Understanding of Medical staffing

### Specific Requirements

**Essential**

- Ability to travel cross site for training when required

**Desirable**

- UK Driving License
