### Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the Undergraduate Team at Russells Hall Hospital. The post holder’s primary responsibilities will be the planning, organisation and administration of medical student placements and medical student Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs). The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational and administrative skills with an ability to communicate professionally with all levels of staff within the Trust, including students, patients and consultants.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Good level of experience in administration

**Desirable**

- Previous NHS experience
- Experience of working in an educational environment
- Experience of coordinating exams and assessments in an education setting

### Knowledge and Training

**Essential**

- High level of organisation
- Good working knowledge of MS Office applications and IT and a willingness to embrace changes to digital technology

**Desirable**

- Knowledge of undergraduate medical education administration processes, policies and procedures

### Physical Skills Weighting

**Essential**

- Ability to work over both Educational Centres within the Trust

**Desirable**

- Ability to help re-organise room layouts ready for teaching sessions and exams by moving equipment and furniture

### Qualifications & Education

**Essential**

- GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4 or above)
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification/experience

### Analytical & Judgement Skills

**Essential**

- Display confidence in own judgement but responds constructively to alternative ideas
- Good analytical skills to enable the identification and correction of errors

### Planning & Organisational Skills Weighting

- Excellent time management skills and ability to adhere to strict deadlines whilst working in a challenging and busy office environment
- Ability to work using own initiative and re-prioritise work when necessary
- Excellent organisational skills & ability to manage own workload

- Ability to manage and deliver to deadlines within resources
