Are you undertaking a recognised Group Analytic training programme and looking to gain valuable NHS clinical experience?

North Buckinghamshire Psychological Therapies Service is seeking an enthusiastic and reflective Honorary Trainee Group Analyst to establish and facilitate a weekly group analytic psychotherapy group within our Adult Mental Health Service at the Whiteleaf Centre, Aylesbury.

This honorary placement offers a unique opportunity to develop your clinical practice within a welcoming multidisciplinary team, working alongside psychologists, psychotherapists, CBT therapists, psychiatrists and other mental health professionals. You'll receive regular supervision from an experienced Group Psychotherapist while gaining hands-on experience delivering group therapy to adults experiencing complex and enduring mental health difficulties.

### Main duties of the job

- Establishing and facilitating a weekly analytic psychotherapy group.
- Delivering approximately 80 group sessions as part of your recognised training.
- Working independently with the support of regular clinical supervision.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary NHS psychological therapies team.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

We're looking for someone who:

- Is enrolled on a recognised Group Analytic training programme (such as the Institute of Group Analysis Qualifying Course).
- Has experience facilitating therapeutic groups.
- Is enthusiastic, reflective, organised and committed to developing their clinical practice.
- Can work independently while making effective use of supervision.

Experience working within the NHS or supporting adults with complex mental health needs would be advantageous but is not essential.
