The Tuberculosis (TB) Service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our dedicated team. Our TB service operates across three major London hospitals—Charing Cross, Hammersmith and St Mary’s—and also supports TB healthcare provision at HMP Wormwood Scrubs. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will work as part of a dynamic, supportive multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality care and achieving key performance targets. As TB Coordinator, you will be at the heart of the service, ensuring robust administrative processes are in place so patients receive timely, efficient and compassionate care throughout their treatment journey.

This role offers an excellent development opportunity for someone with previous NHS administrative or coordination experience who is keen to broaden their skills. We will provide training and support to help you build confidence and develop expertise within TB services.

### Main duties of the job

- To act as first point of contact for patients and members of the Public seeking TB information and support from the hospital.
- To demonstrate a high standard of customer care by being always courteous and helpful to patients, visitors, and staff. To provide patients with appropriate information relating to their appointment.
- Support timely communication of clinic letters or other clinical information related to TB patients through processing clinic letters, reports and other clinical correspondence using an electronic remote transcription service (Dictate IT).
- Act as an intermediary to take messages for the TB Nursing and Medical Team within the Department, in person and over the telephone, and ensure that all messages are accurately conveyed to the appropriate person.
- Maintain and update relevant databases, ensuring results/outcomes are up to date and ensure that nurses can follow up any necessary actions effectively.
- Use hospital information systems to track medical records, ascertain patients’ appointments and carry out any other tasks associated with these systems when required.
- Organise meetings, both internal and external, sending invitations, drafting agendas, attending and taking formal minutes as required as well as distributing minutes appropriately.
- Purchasing stationery order for office equipment and ensure stock levels are maintained.
- To aid in developing and instigating service improvement projects.

### Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Previous NHS or TB admin experience required.
- Proven experience of working to tight and strict deadlines.
- Problem solving techniques and implementation of sustainable changes.
- Knowledge of administration procedures and experience of using multiple and complex IT systems.
- Proven ability in managing people, process, quality and productivity.
- Management of complex administrative process.
- Effective time management.
- Productive working without supervision.

**Desirable**

- Experience of working with senior clinical staff.

### Education/ Qualifications

**Essential**

- A comprehensive secondary education with a minimum of 5 GCSE’s Text.
- NVQ level 4 or equivalent; diploma level or equivalent experience.
