This is a great opportunity for an early to mid-level registrar wishing to improve their general surgery laparoscopic skillset. The department has recently started a new benign upper GI surgical unit for anti-reflux surgery and hiatus hernia repair. There is a large colorectal cancer unit mainly involving robotic cancer surgery as well abdominal wall reconstruction. The candidate would get exposure to this unit as well.  At present, this post does not have educational approval and is therefore a service post.
