Theatres are in the same area as our related specialties, allowing ease of interspecialty work. The paediatric work is carried out in the adjacent Childrens Hospital, with excellent ward and ICU facilities. The ENT unit consists of 15 consultants. There are currently 7 senior grade trainees and 8 junior doctors, making this a thriving department covering almost all aspects of ENT surgery. ### Main duties of the job The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills in the assessment and management of acute and elective ENT patients, including inpatient, outpatient, and peri-operative care. They will be an effective communicator, able to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and engage confidently with patients and their relatives. The post holder will be organised, adaptable, and capable of managing competing clinical priorities, including participation in the ENT on-call rota and the management of emergency presentations.
