The post is non-training; however, opportunities for development will be available as described in the Job Advert. There may also be an expectation for cross site working at Scarborough Hospital but the successful application will be based at York Hospital. The post holder will be expected to keep themselves up to date with current knowledge & practice, to attend clinical meetings within the department & to participate in audit & “in-service” training of other healthcare professionals. The post holder will be required to deputise for absent colleagues from time to time and to perform additional duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances. The post holder will also be required to be available exceptionally for such irregular commitments outside normal rostered duties as are essential for continuity of patient care. ### Main duties of the job The principle duty of this post is to provide a comprehensive clinical service to patients from and around York. - To, at all times, comply with the GMC requirements of Duties of a            Doctor.
