Kingston And Richmond NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint a Trust doctor in urology (ST3+ equivalent) on a fix term bases.

The Registrars are responsible for managing the care of patients in an inpatient, outpatient, emergency and theatre setting and for the ongoing management of patients admitted under their team.

### Main duties of the job

Clinical

- Participate in delivery of out-patient, diagnostic and inpatient services as directed by the Urology team
- Participate in 1:5 on call rota at Registrar level.
- The Junior Doctor accepts that he or she will perform duties in occasional unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate Consultant in consultation where practicable with his/her colleagues both senior and junior. Commitments arising in such circumstances are, however, exceptional and Junior Doctors are not required to undertake work of this kind for prolonged periods or on a regular basis.
- The Trust will undertake hours monitoring exercises as a minimum of twice a year. From 1st December 2000 there is a contractual obligation on employers to monitor junior doctors’ New Deal compliance and on junior doctors to co-operate with monitoring arrangements. All rotas are compliant with EWTD.
- Participate in/lead ward rounds
- Undertake other clinical duties as directed by consultant e.g MDTs
- Attend theatre sessions and assist/perform procedures appropriate to level as required and directed by the consultant

### Clinical Experience

- 12 months NHS experience or equivalent experience gained in an equitable health care system
- Competed core surgical training or equivalent
- Ability to deliver appropriate level of clinical care with indirect supervision

- Evidence of contribution to Audit/Research
- Evidence of contribution to teaching
- Evidence of surgical experience via logbook
- 12 months experience in Urology on middle grade rota by time of appointment

### Education/Qualifications

**Essential**

- Full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council
- MRCS
- MBBS or equivalent

**Desirable**

- Evidence of distinction – prizes, awards, publications, additional degree or diploma

### Experience in Training, Audit and Research

**Essential**

- Accurate record keeping

**Desirable**

- Evidence of delivering teaching
- Evidence of quality improvement or audit
