This post is designed to support the Department and Trust and  progress our programmes. ### Main duties of the job This post will be ideal for trainees who are completing Core Training and looking for additional experience in obstetrics and ICU.  You will be allocated an educational supervisor and we will ensure that you are supported in developing the clinical and non-clinical aspects of your CV. The Department of Anaesthesia and Critical Care at DCH has a longstanding reputation as a supportive environment for training in anaesthesia and ICM. 2 years postgraduate experience in anaesthesia is required for this post. An anaesthetist competent in obstetrics anaesthetics (i.e. achieved initial assessment of obstetric competency, IAOC) would be desirable but not necessary. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Full registration with the GMC is essential. The successful applicant will join the dynamic, progressive, forward thinking Anaesthetic Department. You would an enthusiastic team providing anaesthetic services for all surgical specialities excluding cardiac and neurosurgery. The successful applicant will be expected to fully participate in the general running of the anaesthetic services including a sessional commitment to Intensive Care. The department is dedicated to supporting the development of their doctors and therefore study time and funding is available to successful applicant.
