Join our new District Nurse Triage Desk and help shape the future of community care

Our District Nurse Duty Desk provides a vital triage service, enabling patients to receive holistic assessments of their care needs and ensuring they are signposted to the most appropriate services. The team plays a key role in coordinating timely visits from District Nurse assessors, delivering responsive, patient-centred care within the community.

### Main duties of the job

The services currently operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with core hours of 08.00-18.30.

Shift patterns are 08.00-16.00, 10.30-18.30 or 08.00-18.30.

What will we give you?

Once you have started with Oxford Health you will be on the road to develop and hone your clinical skills. We offer each person a bespoke induction in your team with a period of being supernumerary , which is usually up to 4 weeks. We will ensure you can attend the  District Nursing Induction programme, this is tailored to district nursing staff, encompassing as facets of Oxford Health and the lived experience of what you will do, giving you an insight into the organisation. The preceptorship programme is another opportunity for you and you will be able to undertake a service development project. We are Oxford Health pride ourselves in supporting and developing our staff to achieve their potential and to fly in their career.

## Person Specification

### Skills

**Essential**

- IT literate with basic key board skills.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the Clinical Governance requirements.

### experience

**Essential**

- Knowledge around long term conditions and their management.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.

**Desirable**

- Previous Community Services experience
- Evidence of clinical ability. catheterisation, meds administration, wound care

### qualification

**Essential**

- Registered General Nurse (adult).
- Educated to degree level or equivalent

**Desirable**

- Mentor qualification
