### Main duties of the job

You will be part of an integrated team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Technicians who work closely together on a day to day basis allowing plenty of opportunity for informal learning and peer support.

You will have protected and regular clinical supervision from your allocated mentor, but also be well supported informally on a day to day basis by our senior leads team.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Contributing to clinical education of less experienced staff, students or assistants
- Experience of working as part of a Physiotherapy team and/or multidisciplinary team
- Clinical Supervision of students and assistant staff
- Experience of discharge planning

**Desirable**

- Evidence of previous experience and participation in audit

### Personal qualities

**Essential**

- Proactive attitude

- Demonstrates interest and passion to work in T&O speciality

### Education and qualifications

**Essential**

- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
- Health Professions Council registered
- Evidence of relevant Continuing Professional Development

**Desirable**

- Involvement in relevant Special Clinical Interest Groups

### Knowledge, skills and abilities - 1

**Essential**

- A variety of experience in core areas, as postgraduate physiotherapist i.e. care of the elderly, musculoskeletal, respiratory & neurological, dealing with a wide range of patients with differing needs
- Ability to effectively perform patient assessments & interventions, including manual therapy & therapeutic handling
- Demonstrate Assessment, Analytical & Reflective skills across a diverse patient group
- Effective communication skills both verbal & written

**Desirable**

- Experience of working within trauma and orthopaedic pathways as a Band 6 (or equivalent)

### Knowledge, skills and abilities - 2

**Essential**

- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to plan, prioritise & delegate
- Ability to meet deadlines & work under pressure
- Ability to cope in a stressful environment undertaking moderate to intense physical effort throughout the working day and carry out concurrent activities
- Competent IT Skills
- Knowledge of clinical Governance & its application to Physiotherapy
