An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Healthcare Transition Team at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. This role will support the development and delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care for young people requiring transitional care across a range of specialties.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to the team, including organising and coordinating meetings, taking and distributing meeting minutes, managing diaries, and undertaking a variety of other administrative duties as required.

The Healthcare Transition Team is a small, friendly, and supportive central team based on the main acute site at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Working across the Trust and all care groups, the team provides expert guidance and support to specialties throughout the transition process, helping to ensure young people experience a smooth and effective transition into adult services.

### Main duties of the job

This role is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Healthcare Transition team

- The post holder will aid the team in the completion of specific tasks associated with the delivery of Healthcare Transition.
- The position requires sound knowledge of IT systems, excellent communication skills with staff at various levels in the organisation and will necessitate hands-on use of information systems.
- The post holder must establish good working relationships and clear communications with colleagues. These working relationships will be at every level including senior clinicians and managers.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel, email and the internet
- Experience of collecting, reviewing and inputting information into databases and spreadsheets
- Experience with compiling information from a number of sources and presenting it in written format
- Experience of diary management

**Desirable**

- Previous experience of administrative work within a healthcare environment
