Local Care Direct is offering two fully funded opportunities to join our Urgent Treatment Centre team as a Trainee Emergency Practitioner specialising in minor injuries. The role combines postgraduate education, structured clinical supervision and hands-on UTC experience. Successful applicants will complete the Level 7 Managing Minor Injuries Programme at the University of Huddersfield alongside Local Care Directs Minor Injuries Competency Framework, with support from experienced clinicians and the Clinical Education Team. You will develop competence in: - Assessment and management of adult and paediatric minor injuries. - Advanced history taking, clinical examination and decision-making. - Risk management, diagnostics within scope, referral, discharge planning and safety netting. - Clinical documentation, governance and safe supervised practice. ### Main duties of the job Who We're Looking For We are looking for clinicians who: - Are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. - Are motivated to develop advanced clinical assessment and decision-making skills. - Thrive in busy urgent care environments. - Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. - Are enthusiastic about progressing towards autonomous practice within urgent care.
