The post holder will be required to travel between all three hospital sites within UHMB including at Kendal, Lancaster and Barrow-in-Furness. The role blends direct, higher level clinical care with education, management activities with a focus on Governance and as such the post holder is expected to build working relationships across the local health community.  The ability to initiate, sustain and evaluate change is essential. ### Main duties of the job The General Surgery ACP will work closely with the  existing General Surgery team and  a team of multi-disciplinary staff within the Surgical Division,  including Consultants, and Specialist Nurses The successful candidate will be an expert nurse within general surgery; leading and developing practice in order to promote and provide high quality service throughout the patient pathway for patients and their families. Provide and facilitate the delivery of highly specialised care for patients. Be responsible for providing expert practice through leadership, consultation, clinical advice, teaching and support for staff. The post holder will work with clinical colleagues to provide information, advice and support to patients with complex arrhythmias.
