The proposed interview date is: 8th October ### Main duties of the job A registered nurse with substantial years clinical experience AFC 5 or above you will be able to participate in the delivery of a specialist tissue viability trust wide nursing service. You will help to manage a clinical case load providing clinical advice and support relating to tissue viability. You will formulate and participate in formal and informal education. Plan, undertake and analyse relevant audit activities. You will be able to support the Lead Nurse for Tissue Viability in the day to day running of the Trust wide service. You will be able to work closely with the multidisciplinary team and also work autonomously, exercising clinical expertise in tissue viability. You must possess knowledge and skills in clinical risk evaluation, pressure ulcer prevention strategies and ideally change management. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities As a band 6 Tissue Viability Nurse you will be responsible for the delivery of a high standard of care as part of the Tissue Viability Team, in support of and under the supervision of the lead nurse in the team. You will have a passion for tissue viability and we will help you develop your knowledge in the planning and evaluation of wound care. You will be supported in the planning, delivering and evaluation of education around tissue viability. Although you will at all times act as directed by the lead nurse in the Tissue Viability Team, you will be competent to work without direct supervision, and will undertake a range of delegated duties within a frame work that has been agreed by the lead nurse. You will communicate effectively at all times in conjunction with other team members, which will involve recording information, contributing to and maintaining high standards of care in tissue viability and pressure ulcer prevention.
