### Main duties of the job

We are looking for people who are compassionate and feel passionately about providing a level of care they would wish for their family and friends.

Successful applicants who fulfil the essential qualifications/skills on the person specification/job description will be shortlisted and offered an interview for the Nurse Bank.

Candidates must have 6 months experience working in a care environment (nursing home etc within the last 5 years) with a Care Certificate and you must have level 1 in Maths and English, please ensure this is identified in your application form and you will be required to produce your certificates prior to booking an interview.

We provide a full corporate induction, local area induction and supernumerary shifts to help you settle in if you have not worked in an acute trust for some time. Lots of in-house training is available for your personal development.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The role of this nursing assistant post is flexible, and the post holder will therefore, be required to provide support over a wide range of service/functions. Key to this flexibility is the requirement for staff to work variable hours on a week by week basis within agreed limits.

The post holder will be required to work according to a locally agreed Code of Conduct for Nursing Assistants.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
